What this site is
Rudy’s Hunting is a straightforward outdoors site for hunting how-tos, gear notes, and season planning. The goal is useful writing you can actually take afield — not affiliate fluff or encyclopedia bloat.
It sits alongside the archery and fishing projects as the hunting piece of the same outdoors set: kit that earns a spot, how-tos that hold up, season reminders that point back to official regulations, and recipes for when you get home.
How the site is organized
Hunting How-Tos
Scouting, stand placement, wind and weather, and field care after the shot.
Gear
Pack, optics, knives, layers, and cams — organized by kit, tagged by species when it helps.
Seasons
How to use regs, a pre-season checklist, and in-season decisions. Always verify with your agency.
Local staging first
This install is LAN-only for now. A public domain comes later — when the content is worth putting on the open internet.
Recipes
Game cooking after the hunt — skillet, sear, braise, and stock so good meat does not go to waste.
What you will not find (yet)
- Species deep-dive hubs with thin filler pages
- Hard “legal advice” or copied regulation tables pretending to be official
- Giant product roundups with no field opinion
Species-specific pieces can come later, built on top of the Hunting How-Tos / Gear / Seasons spine — not instead of it.
